CFLeads helps community foundations advance the practice of community leadership to build thriving communities.
CFLeads has existed since 1991, when a group of community foundation leaders interested in community leadership created its predecessor organization, the Coalition of Community Foundations for Youth (CCFY). For 15 years, CCFY was a trusted resource for community foundations that were providing local leadership on issues such as youth development, out-of-school time, fathers and fragile families, family economic success, and youth civic engagement. CCFY became CFLeads in 2006 in order to concentrate more specifically on community leadership by community foundations, regardless of issue area. Learn more about CFLeads' history.
CFLeads was pleased to be named implementation
partner on community leadership by the Council on Foundations' Community Foundations Leadership Team in 2007.
