CFLeads announces new Program Director

CFLeads welcomes CJ Callen as its new Program Director. As a leader and senior manager in the philanthropic sector, she brings a background in program development, advocacy, teaching, and facilitation. Her deep and varied experience in the philanthropic sector has prepared her for latest role at CFLeads. CJ has worked at The San Francisco Foundation, the Tides Foundation, Changemakers, and Northern California Grantmakers, producing innovative grantmaking programs, unique donor education, and new research on foundation strategy and effectiveness.

She also has a good understanding of the important role community foundations can play in strengthening their communities. She is the perfect fit for the organization.”

CJ is a board member of the Whitman Institute, a private foundation based in San Francisco and also serves on the Advisory Board of the Foundation Center’s San Francisco Branch. She is a former member of the Public Policy Committee of the Independent Sector and a past board member of Women & Philanthropy. CJ received her JD from Stanford University and her BA in political science and philosophy with honors from New York University. Based in San Francisco, CJ adds a West Coast presence to CFLeads.
