Nancy Van Milligen

Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque

Nancy Van Milligen joined the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque as its first president/CEO on February 1, 2003. She has a master’s degree in public administration from Southern Illinois University. In 2006, she received the SIU Distinguished Alumni Award.

Prior to joining the foundation, she was vice president of institutional advancement at Clarke College. At the state level, she is the past chair of the Iowa State Empowerment Board and the Iowa Commission of Volunteer Service. She is the immediate past president of the Iowa Council on Foundations. She serves on the board of the Funders Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities and chairs the TFN River Partnership of Community Foundations. She also serves on the Council on Foundations Public Policy Committee. She has traveled with the nonprofit group, Iowa Resources for International Services, and made trips to Nigeria and Eastern Europe, where she conducted workshops for NGOs on board development and fundraising.
